Wonder why that is? One of life's great mysteries perhaps?

German wines tend to go for landscapes or medieval pics. Tradition over sexiness. If one were doing a crux manip, a German label from Moselland could be a good background, but you'd need a sexy French wine model for the figure.

well done! Yes, the German attitude to wine does seem rather solemn,
not only are the labels generally less than exciting to look at,
they're about as intelligible (even if you know a bit of German) as Heidegger!
