Hornet, what can I add to what's already been said, except please, please keep on producing stunning videos like these!

May your retirement be very very long, very productive, and very happy!

PS, Hornet - are you thinking of sharing this over on Crux Foundation?

I was not registered at Crux Foundation :i just did :)

Also i will probably take a little break to keep my inspiration and don't burn out like a one hit wonder....

Just don't expect another 8 minutes video in the future;)

Don't you worry about that; most of us realize how much this kind of thing takes, in emotion as well as time, as Robn also says above

You deserve a good break

Jedakk is very busy with his newest one

I think he may be finding it too time consuming. I hear that an illustrated pdf story may replace the video.

PS some repeats in that last series

Admi, what do you mean about Jedakk's work being on a paysite? I missed that, but given the qualkity of his and Hornet's work, I sure as hell would be willing to pay. :) Jedakk mentioned that he has a powerful pc , but it is 5 years old. By definition that is no longer powerful.

What I would like to see is that artists like Jedakk and Hornet (and many others!) make enough money off their work to maintain state of the art CPUs and GPUs. From what I understand this would reduce the rendering time and make the process less tedious. Hornet, if you don't mind my asking, how long did it actually take you and what chip and graphics card are you using? Is the software advancing rapidly and what is the price range? I saw some for over 5K!

Also, as explained previously, I would never repost your work. To me it is exactly the same as stealing. But with work of this quality, I can promise you it will start showing up on all sorts of forums and websites. They steal the work, post it for "free" and charge you for high speed download. Nice racket, but still theft. :mad:

My PC is 2 years old:
Cpu=Intel Core I3 (still pretty fast..)
Gpu=Nvidia GTX 650
Ram=4 gig DDR3
I actually worked on this video part time since early December but the Daz Studio scene was already done last summer,so its very hard to evaluate the total amount of time it took me to do this video,also i did the video rendering using the Basic OpenGl renderer:its much faster:) i did try with the high quality video rendering and it was surprisingly not really better:for the video not the still images....

For now Daz Studio is free(the additional content is payware)
But if you look around the web you can find a lot of free stuff.
I also use virtual dub (freeware)
The final editing was done with AVS video editor (about 50$)
The music was done with freeware VST (virtual instrument)
What you mostly need is lot of free time!

For my part having a faster computer would not really make me more productive, i do it mostly for my personal pleasure (i like to see naked women dance on a cross :) and the intellectual challenge;)

I'm aware that ounce you upload anything on the internet you don't have any control over it,people will download it on their computer and do whatever they want with it..

As long as its not a nude picture of myself i don't mind:p

Thanks very much for that info, especially your "review" of the software. You can't argue with success. The final product speaks for itself.

Yeah, I know what you mean. A nude of me really would be PORN. :eek:
