This scene was 'real'. The facade was on the ground first, Keaton took his place in the window hole. The facade was put upright and was then dropped again as the scene was shot, Keaton still standing at his place. Very risky.
And this one is from 'The General', to my opinion one of the greatest movies ever!
#18 on the American Film Institutes 100 best American movies (1998).
