It's an intriguing piece of Torture Chamber furniture,
I always like touches of cruel humour like the donkey-head on this one.
But if the idea is to hold me still for branding,
more serious bondage and/ or physical restraint would be needed,
unless it's some sort of test of self-control for a slavegirl,

a great gif, the sharp arching of her spine when the agony really clicks in

The second, third and last one are excellent - I have seen the fourth before a few times and never understood how the mechanics would work, if the four little pulleys are free-standing. Seems like an engineering error to me!
it does seem strange, but old woodcuts and engravings show it was a method actually used.
The four pulleys look sufficiently sturdy and stable to ensure that,
even in my agony as I'm stretched, I wouldn't be able to pull them,
they'd be pulling me - like oxen, till I feel my limbs being jerked out of joint,
and when I'm dropped back on the pillar thing,
my spine would feel almost breaking...
