I like these words.
I would add a line - "the woman needs her cross"
There is something beautiful in the acceptance, in the woman who goes willingly to her cross. There is something dignified and graceful, despite the pain and exposure.
There is something true in the observation that she sees herself in any crucified woman. The ordeal experienced. The ordeal remembered. The ordeal hungered for once again.
