Dancing In The Coliseum

Go to CruxDreams.com
The Romans found some people from the mysterious South. They were all dark-skinned women, probably from somewhere south of Nubia. The merchants who brought them to Rome were amazed that they can dance strange dances. They proposed to the Coliseum authorities that the women dance in front of the spectators there since a regular amphitheater would not hold enough of those interested. At the Coliseum on the day of the dance show, the women were made to strip off all their clothes and perform in the nude. There are guards, and hungry lions, to make sure they dance all the time. And forget about toilet breaks. The ladies can relieve themselves in front of the audience. They danced for four hours, enchanting the audience with unusual dances they have never seen. What happened to the dark-skinned women is another story in itself.

And when they finished dancing, the lions were released. The crowd really liked the performance.

Now, dancing lions, that really would be a novelty ... :D
Several years ago now, there was a snowstorm in Denver. The Zoo had to close. But they let the lions out briefly, and they had a great time bounding through two feet of snow. Lions are quite nimble. Two brothers who had been defeated in a dominance match and were being tracked by biologists swam a mile across the Congo River to get the the females on the other side--it was captured on film. With the right incentives, I bet they could dance.
