As for number 1, the artist is contemporary Zhurov Maxim Mikhailovich. The work is called "Lamentation for the destruction of the land of Rus"

Another woman who seems to have had a bad day... From the look of her back, she seems to have been flogged before being cast into this dungeon...

This is the fresco of the martyrdom of Saint Margaret in the church of Santo Cristo in Brescia (North Italy) painted by Benedetto Maronne (1550-1565). In this fresco we can see the half-naked saint flogged and tied to a rack while the executioners skin her with hooks. Above the saint is in a large cauldron of boiling water.

A few meters further we can see the martyrdom of Santa Bárbara
