After a period of damn near infinite procrastination, I'm going to restart this thread.

My stash of files is now in alphabetic order, so that's how I'll proceed. Expect many duplicates of pics posted elsewhere.

First off, Auk, aka St. Johnny. His manips of various Makar models have a damn near lyrical quality.

Makar, of course; more to come from him later.

But I thought I'd share these behind the scenes pics, featuring Image Maker at work.

I reckon Makar himself took these pics.

Great...............................no further words needed I think

Glad to oblige, folks.

Steve Cordero probably needs no introduction, but here's one anyway. Two of his early images, and examples of his much more polished style. It was interesting watching that style mature over the years.

I also include the Makar photo that was the template for Helena on the Cross. But note that the photo is a template only: Steve created a distinct character and backstory.

A good example of the evolution of Steve's style. An early and later version of Didi on the Cross. Based on one of the few accounts from antiquity about the crucifixion of a woman, by Josephus.

Where is Steve from and is he doing any crux work now? I seriously enjoy his work but never see any new stuff or postings on the boards. I ask because of your posting. It always gives me a kick to see his work.

I know not where Steve lives, and I've interpreted his absence as him having a life. Crux for most of us is a hobby.

For some, a dangerous hobby. I knew, keyword, knew, an artist specializing in graphic dungeon-and-torture. His country enacted a law decreeing artistic depictions of such as illegal. He simply shut down. Completely. He doesn't post, he doesn't answer my emails. Hasn't for years.

Steve is not in such danger. He probably just had other things to do.

Think I'll contact him, and find out how he's doing.

Noble Vulcher.

Prolific as hell, and intense as anything the infernal regions of crux have to offer up.

Without further ado, my favorites.

Not near all of my favorites. I have resolved to start a Noble Vulcher thread.

BTW, for newbies, Taryn Tribute is just that, a tribute. Taryn was a crux fan and practitioner who perished in the World Trade Center on 9/11.
