Hangin’ on a Cross All Day

Hangin’ in the mornin' sun
I'll be hangin' when the evenin' come
Four big nails driven in
Wrists and feet they did pin, yeah

I’m hangin’ on a cross all the day
Writhing about in every way
Ohh, I'm sufferin’ on that cross all day
Cryin' time

I left my home in ‘sota
Headin’ down Missouri way
For a restful time at the Treehouse
Thinking my troubles gonna wash away

At the airport Tree met me yesterday
Shiny red Mustang, interior gray
“Ooh, Tree, I’d like to drive if I may?”
Risky times

Looks like nothing's gonna change
For wrecking his Mustang I’m to blame
A red stop sign I blew right through
I guess I wasn’t on my game, yeah

Hangin’ here resting my bones
For damaging Tree’s ‘stang I must atone
“It's only a fender dent”, I moaned
Enough to make this cross my home, he replied

Now, crucified is the penalty I must pay
Watching my life fade away
Ooh-wee, a hangin’ nude on a cross all day
Cryin' time

Arkansas is always looking for ways to increase tourism. Since Crater of Diamonds State Park had had a falloff in tourist visits, they increased the fines and penalties for out-of-state blue state tourists violating traffic laws. Barbara was found guilty of destroying prime property and sentenced to be executed on a cross. Her crucifixion drew a good crowd.

The Mustang Mach-E seems to be around $41K. That's what my parents paid for a house in 1979.

Tree never implied it does... I was thinking a pre-Mustang II, preferably a '66 thru '69...
