Excellent work as alwaysa new story:
Crucified for example.
3 wealthy young people (one Egyptian, one Greek and one Syrian) were caught red-handed disturbing public order and insulting the Roman occupier and the governor as they wandered drunk in the streets of Alexandria. The egyptian's trusted slave accompanied them and lit their way with a torch.
The 4 men were apprehended. The slave Amset who tried to protect his master is quickly mastered and is tied his hands behind his back, the other 3 do not put up any resistance. Given their status and the richness of their clothing, they are put in a comfortable cell with 4 benchtops. After a night in prison, they are brought before the governor dessoulés and vaguely worried. The slave drops to his knees while the others remain standing and insolent
Governor Paulus did not appreciate at all being the target of their quips. Newly arrived from Rome, he wanted to make them an example to eradicate in the bud any idea of criticism of the Roman occupier or even of uprising. The fact that 3 of them came from wealthy local families and the fourth was a slave arranged him. Indeed, the poor will welcome the fact that the rich are punished like slaves and will enjoy the spectacle. Wealthy families will be belittled and humiliated and will not be able to do anything for fear of being wiped out.
As a result, without any trial, the governor announces their punishment: they will be taken to the arena, arms tied in cross to a wooden beam. There, they will be publicly stripped naked, flogged and crucified. Their bodies will be grazed to the lions.
The three young men of good family abandon their haughty attitude and begin begging the governor. Two of them put a knee to the ground and ask for mercy by flouting together all the arguments that come to mind: They were drunk and did not realize what they said, they did not attack anyone and did not resist their arrest, they will not start again, their families are rich and will be able to pay a ransom for their release...
Nothing did, the governor remained inflexible and asked the guards to take them back to prison for their last night before their ordeal.
The young convicts are on the left the Egyptian Anhour and his slave Amset, both 22 years old, standing behind being seized by a guard the Greek Tyresias,23 years old, and on the right, the oldest with his 25 years, the Syrian Salmu.
Shocked and struggling to realize what will happen to them, they are taken without resistance into the underground of the prison in a large vaulted room overlooking several cells.
Wow, excellentThe guards seizeAmset who still has his hands tied behind his back. Under the horrified gaze of the other three, the soldiers tear off his slave tunic and then his loincloth completely stripping him before tying him firmly to the wall in the back of a cell.
Then the guards order Tiresias and Salmu to remove their rich tunic and give them. This will make them a good sum to share. After a brief hesitation and an exchange of glances, the two young men execute knowing that resisting would serve no purpose other than to take blows.
The guards then tie their hands behind their backs and start beating and bullying them. Anhour, arms also tied and held by a guard helplessly attends the scene. One guard gives a powerful knee blow into the private parts of poor Tiresias who bends in half in pain while another tears off Salmu's loincloth grabs his balls and pulls them upwards with all his strength. Salmu screams as he throws his head back and tiptoes. The guard palpates his chest thrown forward and twists his right nipple. The two young men were beaten and manhandled.
They end up standing prostrate on the floor crying and moaning. A guard removes tiresias' loincloth putting him completely in hair like Salmu before him. The soldiers then drag them into the same cell asAmset before tying them to the wall next to him.
All that remains is poor Anhour, trembling, horrified by the spectacle he must have witnessed and terrified by what awaits him. The guards begin by removing his rich Egyptian loincloth before having fun with his offended modesty when they begin to feel his pectorals and balls. They detach his hands to remove his rich arm bracelets, then slaps on his bare buttocks, they move him forward in the same cell as the others and tie him to the wall to the left of the door that they then close leaving the 4 young men ruminating their misfortune during this last night.
Loving this , thanksThey begin by remaining silent sighing and moaning gently each locked in the shame of being naked in front of his friends and in the terror of the torment of the next day.
Then Salmu reacts, straightens up and pulls on his ties in vain.
He strives to comfort his companions of unfortunateness: "we must not lose hope" "Our families will intervene and succeed in changing the mind of this awful governor"
Tiresias completely collapsed groaned: "Let the sky hear you but look at us, we can do nothing but suffer our destiny. We were stripped naked, beaten, palpated even in our most intimate parts and we are now all 4 firmly tied completely naked in this cell... Ahh why did we have to get drunk last night? As I regret!
Amset replied: "I begged you to stop when there was still time, but you refused to listen to a poor slave. Now even if your families manage to save you, I will remain condemned and I will be tortured tomorrow anyway. My poor life is over"
Anhour begins to moan in his turn: "Oh gods, and if our families do not get our grace, what a horror, we will be dragged completely furry in the arena, humiliated in front of our friends, our families, mocked by the crowd. I don't know how I can put up with flogging and then crucifixion. Can you imagine yourself writhing in pain, nailed to the cross, completely naked? it would be better to die now but there is nothing we can do to commit suicide"
After these funeral words everyone locks themselves in silence and spend the night almost without sleeping imagining their sufferings to come.
Amazing work, thanksothers views
StunningIt is still early but the heat is already being felt and the skin of the four condemned people is beginning to glow. Too quickly, they reach the amphitheater and enter the arena where they welcome the immense clamour of the crowd.
The amphitheater is well filled, most of the inhabitants of the city not wanting to miss the exceptional performance of 3 young members of the richest families of the city.
The crowd is already excited to see these 4 dirty young men, shining with sweat, almost naked, moving forward staggering, arms already crossed attached to their patibulum.
Three of them were attractive and wealthy young men wearing only the finest and softest clothes, spending their time in parties and drinking. They will soon be completely naked and exposed to the crowd for their greatest shame and that of their families who have been forced to come and witness their humiliation and torment.
Their songs and reveler cries will be replaced by howls of pain when the whip will hit their delicate skin. Similarly, instead of their wild dances in the streets of the city, they will soon perform the dance of the cross when they twist in pain, their wrists and ankles pierced by the nails fixing them to the wood, crucified completely naked in front of their families and friends.
The soldiers thus force them to advance under the taunts of the crowd in the center of the arena and then to slant to place themselves in an Indian line in front of the governor's lodge who looks at them with a sadistic air.
He addressed the crowd: "These four young men dared to disturb the tranquility of the city and criticize the pax romana that nevertheless ensure you tranquility and prosperity. Among them is a slave and 3 sons of the noblest families of your city. But the law is the law, and justice must treat rich and poor, slaves and nobles, in the same way. The sentence I pronounced is therefore the same whether for the slave or for the 3 rich. These four men whom you see hindered in front of us, by their behaviour, are no longer human beings but wild beasts. They must therefore no longer wear clothing and will suffer their torment, naked as animals. I sentenced them for their crime to flogging followed by killing by crucifixion. »
"Guards: execute the sentence immediately!"
I particularly like the sequence where, condemned, you enter the arena in front of a delirious crowd who come to revel in your execution on the crossIt is still early but the heat is already being felt and the skin of the four condemned people is beginning to glow.
