Really like the first one. The third and some of her non crux work seems inclined toward trans gender.

Jos Hofstede from the Netherlands, don't know more about him/her.
But I think the painting speaks for itself

I don't think I've ever seen the "A-frame" type of crux that we see twice in the left image in the foreground. I suppose the wheeled platform is about to be rolled out from underneath one unfortunate person.

The painting represents the two thieves still on their cross. Christ is already taken down and put into the grave; that's the significance of the light in the cave in the background.
