Seems that both the Japanese content and eastern Europe content can be pretty hard on the models. Why do you think that is and which is harder on the bondage models?
Very astute and I agree.Good question. I do think there's a strong tradition of stoical submissiveness among Japanese (and other E Asian) women, that's impressively evident in the material from that part of the world - and one of systematic sadism among the men too - perhaps not 'sadism' as we'd understand it in the West, at its best, Japanese BDSM does seem to me to aspire to an art-form, something with an intrinsic beauty like a dance.
E Europe's a rather different matter, the tradition there is more of female toughness, capacity for endurance, but with more emphasis on the struggle, and less inhibition on showing extremes of emotion, screaming etc. But again, at its best, e.g. in Makar's crux videos, the artistic quality of body movements and reactions comes to the fore.
There are of course some genuinely erotic western BDSM models, but they do tend to either over-act, over-playing the damsel in distress/ scream queen, or at the other extreme, just looking glum.
And then we do need to consider the economics, the difference between models who do it because they enjoy it, the ones who just need the money.
nowadays, its the Japanese that go harder on the modelsSeems that both the Japanese content and eastern Europe content can be pretty hard on the models. Why do you think that is and which is harder on the bondage models?
Indeed, more and more the claws of censorship are having effect in the Westnowadays, its the Japanese that go harder on the models
Leather too, for whips and harness, has a long history, and the making of ornamental whips and harness for horses were jobs for skilled and, at best, very artistic craftsmen. But I think only in shibari do we see binding humans, especially good-looking females, practised as an art-form almost akin to sculpture. I wouldn't regard pony-girl harnessing as being in the same league, though I suppose it could be taken to that level if it were practised as an end in itself. And, for the model herself, it must surely be an experience quite different from taking part in a western BDSM video shoot.Very astute and I agree.
From jaderope.com:
Remains of rope have been found dating back to 2800BC in Asia1. It would be remiss to believe that nobody utilised the invention to tie another person throughout the thousands of years which passed before the Edo period in Japan, but it is this period (1603-1867) which is widely cited as the birth for modern day rope based bondage.
I can see that you're a person of refined taste. That is a tough call. On the one hand, there are sites like night24 and spanking-jp. But on the other, besides mood/ep/graias, there is rigid East/lupus, and for us old-timers, Russian wood shed.
from all the studios you mentioned I know everyone but two, Russian wood and African caning, who are those? That is a tough call. On the one hand, there are sites like night24 and spanking-jp. But on the other, besides mood/ep/graias, there is rigid East/lupus, and for us old-timers, Russian wood shed.
But that overlooks wild Africa caning, whipped-pussy, and whipping-films. All intense, and all (to the best of my knowledge) not Eastern European or Japanese and far east Asian.
But I agree that modern big-name American studios are just not producing content like that.
Just my 2.98¥ worth, YMMV, void where prohibited by law. ;-)
The studios are as I named. Wild Africa Caning and The Russian Wood Shed. They have been defunct for at least a decade, of not two. ;-)Russian wood and African caning
thank, could I find them by just searching their names? The studios are as I named. Wild Africa Caning and The Russian Wood Shed. They have been defunct for at least a decade, of not two. ;-)
You may be able to find them out there somewhere. I try periodically, with varied degrees of success.
I’m not finding them right now. But do like I do, and search periodically.thank, could I find them by just searching their names?
