Barb has given up rhyme,
She writes blank verse all the time,
Well if Shakespeare was down,
Why not? Go to town!
It’s not as if that were a crime.

You are an unlucky chap,
To have suffered such a mishap.
If it hurts when you piss,
There`s something amiss.
You`ve caught a dose of the clap.

What a delectable sight,
To see Barb flogged for this crime.

‘Tis a by-law of Limerick Town,
That blank verse will be met with a frown.
And she that persists,
Will be bound by the wrists,
And flogged with her knickers pulled down!
But is this just some kind of stunt?
When for rhymes the rest of us hunt?
And just think of this -
She'll take it amiss
If one of us mentions her... parts that may rhyme but shouldn't be mentioned!
Doc Monty, despairing of fools
Came up with a change in the rules
They must scan and rhyme
Or else he'll beat time
Whilst Wraggie just watches and drools!

But they might take the notion
To cross the deep ocean
To teach you a lesson... beware!

Your Limericks rhyme when you try.
On this Board, every day,
Your wit you display,
So what could go sadly awry.
A poet, is Barb, of renown
Her skills with the language are shown
In many a thread;
So Barb'ra, instead
Should be making those versing rules known!

Minnesota is well known to boast
Of the rugged grandeur of its coast;
They spared no expense
On their laser defence;
Any boat that approaches is toast.
Our only coast is Lake Superior
which is deep in the interior
so defense was simple
caused nary a ripple
against a force so inferior
