Love Letter to 3D Art

Thought I'd revisit this thread with an update and demo of how much AI has progressed.

A few months ago, a team of ex-Stable Diffusion devs formed a new studio called Black Forest Labs and created a new AI model called Flux. It delivered what SD 1.5 promised but failed to: a near-quantum upgrade in visual fidelity with regard to generative realism. Though it still struggles with appendages, thanks to Flux the dice occasionally deliver now.

I created this with Flux in September, without any Inpainting.

It's CRAZY. When Stable Diffusion 1.5 came out, it was GENERATIONAL. It changed everything overnight. It felt manic, keeping up with everything. Like the future was really here, like it was the beginning of the long slope of the singularity. That's how hype it was, it was frantic. I remember sleepless nights in '21 and '22 still. Feels like this just happened. And now, my workflow has tiny little flecks of AI in every render. Can't avoid it.

Wow, that’s purely AI? The details are schmick! The see through blouse, the reflection (or is it refraction) of the fireball in her wine glass, the nonchalant expression in the face of doom… it’s superb!

We shall ignore that with such a direct line of sight she’d probably have already melted due to radiant heat, :azote: :roflmao:
