The torture wheel sounds like a great idea. It's not something often seen in movies. Rotating over hot coals would be a nice bookend to the horizontal roasting scene in Maleficarum.

So happy the project is coming along. I had wanted to contribute, but I missed the deadline; I will DEFINITELY be buying the DVD when you release it!

There will be a chance to contribute next week. A different type of campaign. We do need to raise some extra cash for this very ambitious project.

Hello! While I prepare a post I have some quick news!

Halloween is gone but you can still celebrate the horror watching a great movie. So, why don't you all go to Vimeo and watch our terrific movies.

We're moving ahead with our plans for JUSTINE I will have many more videos of steps we take during the production. Check the following videos.

We're still in pre-production, for at least another week, after that we're going to have four weeks of intense work as we make this movie! Yes, FOUR WEEKS, that's all Jac has to make his new masterpiece!

Did I mentioned that we still need a lot of cash flow? Yes we do, that's why it would be a very good idea to add our films to your collection!

We can use old the help we can get because the production of JUSTINE is TWO days away!

And, we're doing something crazy, we're doing what we never did before! We're having a 30% OFF SALE! ... IT is our THANKSGIVING SALE... To show you all our appreciation and because we're truly grateful for JUSTINE.

These are exciting times. A new movie, the second this year; a year that began with the premiere of OLALLA, saw the production of Pygmalion and now it will close with a golden feather cap, the production of JUSTINE.

According to our schedule, we'll spend the next ten days in Rodin's dungeon. That's where the production will have its beginnings. A lot of action is coming our way.

The Wheel and The Rack will be put to very good use. Of that I'm very, very sure. Ten days of suffering for Justine, Rosalie and Omphale. Ten days in the dark dungeon. Ten days!

The Wheel is a very popular prop for our people. They all want to give it a try. This afternoon it was Cortney's turn, she plays Justine's evil sister Juliette, better known as Madame de Lorsange. She took a good spin. There's a picture of her somewhere. The Wheel is a prominent feature in the dungeon, taking a lot of space. Everyone that sees it is very, very impressed with it. Our audiences will too.

Jac's had a photo shoot to have three different possibilities on The Wheel. One totally nude, with Amy, one with a loin cloth, with Mila and one with a dress, with Bea.
AmyOnWheel01.jpg
No one knows what will happen during the shooting of the movie. I know that, for instance, Mila's character, Rosalie, wears a loin cloth for a very good reason that Rodin, in person, will explain.
MilaOnWheel01.jpg
Justine has the misfortune of going naked for most part of the story and Bea wears a dress, or is naked, or half dressed... depending on Rodin's mood. Omphale (Bea) is Rodin's live in lover, after all.
BeaOnWheel01.jpg
Jac had another photo shoot session, to see how The Rack fits in the dungeon and how the ladies fit on The Rack. It was a very good session, and The Rack behaved very well in its surroundings, it was particularly happy because of the gloomy atmosphere. There are some touches here and there that will be done, but The Rack is looking fantastic. Amy was the first to try it, totally nude.
RackAmy.jpg
I love what Jac, Amy and the crew did with the set for Rodin's dungeon. Our production starts NEXT MONDAY and we're all tense, excited, eager...
RackBea.jpg
We have a TIGHT schedule and it's going to be rough! And we can use ALL the help we can get to make us go through the next three weeks!
RackMila.jpg
There were two beautiful ladies in the dungeon in Maleficarum. There are three lovely ladies suffering in the dungeon in JUSTINE. Jac hasn't started shooting the movie yet and it already looks totally awesome.

The campaign will be going strong during the production. I don't know when exactly it will end. So the sooner those contributions come, the better, of course. We can truly use them. Apart from the campaign, we're

Nice work. I like the before and after pics :)

The production of JUSTINE IS DONE!
It was on Monday that the last take of the last sequence in the last day of shooting that was called... Scene 45, Shot 11, Take 3 Slate! The familiar echo of the slate reverberated in the set and Juliette, Justine's sister, gave her last dialogue line to a laughing Ronin. After the shot was done, Jac said CUT!!... followed by It's a WRAP! in an almost thundering voice. The crew and cast present applauded and it was done. JUSTINE passed from Production to Post Production!
JustineMakingOfDay20_1954.jpg
Production is complete, but the work is not done. As Amy pointed out in her recent post here, the building of the movie is now at hand. Editing, Sound mix, Color Correction and all of that.
JustineMakingOfDay04_8520.jpg
Soon after the film was in the can I overheard Jac giving an interview where he said To make a film we need time and money and I don't think I had enough money and enough time to do what I wanted but I did plenty and I'm proud of it, very proud. The cast was amazing, the crew was amazing and of course, Amy was truly amazing, as always. I wasn't bad at all, I don't think.
JustineMakingOfDay05_8943.jpg
He wasn't. He wasn't bad at all. Actually he was very good. Some in the crew were amazed as how fast it wall went. The film was shot in 20 days, that's all. And one of those 20 days was interrupted by a flood and nothing much was done, so, basically, it was all done in 19 days.
JustineMakingOfDay05_8973.jpg
The question in everyone's mind is Where Do We Go From Here? What's Next? Well, we all need a break, of course, the holidays are upon us, the year is ending, there's a lot to celebrate for and we have to sit down and make an assessment of what 2015 meant for us.
We released one film. OLALLA.

We produced Amy's Pygmalion!

Amy went to Mexico and the US with Olalla

Amy and Jac went to ORURO with Olalla and by doing so a 10 year cycle came to an emotional end.

We produced JUSTINE!

What a year! Indeed.

Can we do better than that in 2016? We will release TWO MOVIES. Pygmalion and JUSTINE and we are planning to shoot A FEW! Yes, not one, not two, A FEW! I cannot reveal most of what I mean right now but as the following link demonstrates, we are getting a lot of attention and that is translating in some interesting events. The internet horror film magazine Shock Till You Drop just published 18 exclusive pictures of behind the scenes of JUSTINE along with a great comment about Amy and our work.
Things are moving in mysterious ways. There's a wild outcome from Olalla's presentation in Mexico at the FERATUM film festival. Connections were made, suggestions came our way, contacts increased and now we're on the verge of something new and unexpected. Meanwhile, we're full steam into completing those two projects, Pygmalion and JUSTINE.
JustineMakingOfDay09_2801.jpg
I will have updates on the progress of both movies and some very exciting pictures from behind the scenes of JUSTINE.

You can still join us! Yes! You can get a download or DVD at a discount price and the assurance that you will get to watch the movie way ahead of its official release to the public. Indeed. You can also get some perks, like autographed pictures of the stars of the film, like Amy, Mila or Bea. So... Take a look at those perks!

Hello again Margot,

Has vermeerworks.com ever got around to setting up RF movie downloads for 1 burn (for unlimited viewing) on Mac OS X? There are several movies I still wish to purchase via download but the Windows burn requirement dissuades me from making these purchases. I have previously purchased many DVDs via post with a 2 - 3 week wait for delivery while Windows users can achieve the same movie to burn (once) via internet.

Merry Christmas, ranger1.

I think that was set up a while ago. I will consult with tech and get you an answer soon.

I cannot wait to see the finished version of Justine! I have been a big fan of Jac and Amy since the Red Feline days and am eagerly anticipating my download link so I can see what you have done with DeSade's work. Maybe I'll pick up Agent X while I am waiting...

That's a question for FlickRocket. They're the ones who have created the software.

It's not something that we can just set up. The more people who ask FlickRocket, the more incentive they have for developing the software.

You should email FlickRocket. Support@flickrocket.com

Thank you for your support and Happy Holidays!

The Year Is At an END!
A Happy New Year To All Of You From All of Us!
While I wait for those amazing pictures from the highly anticipated film JUSTINE (it is always scary to have a film that is highly anticipated, with anticipation comes disappointment) those pictures that are, at this very moment, being processed, ... yes... processed, as if we were in the 20th century where we had to take our negatives to a laboratory for processing. Remember those canisters with strips of celluloid?. Each day of the shoot has over 1,000 Making of Pictures, and countless Promo Pictures taken during the shooting of each scene. They all need to be selected and processed. Thus I wait and wait, occasionally getting a few. So, for those wonderful supporters who are waiting for their SPECIAL pictures... it will take a bit of time. But here's one from the 1st day of shooting.

I would also like to mention that our campaign for JUSTINE is, still, active. YES!

Happy New Year Margot,

As you advised, I emailed "FlickRocket Support" (see below) to check if they were considering extending the 'once only download/burn' option to Mac clients of RF PIX. As with previous approaches to FlickRocket on this matter, they have not even replied. They either will not or cannot adapt their download/burn services to other than Windows users among your potential clients, to your mutual detriment.

"Dear Sir/Madam,

Following advice today from Margot, I am contacting you for advice.

I have purchased many DVDs previously from Red Feline via postal services. I wish to purchase further RF PIX movies but this time via 'download for one time burn' to DVD blank on Mac OS X.

Will your services to RF PIX provide for the many (crux devotee) Mac users worldwide, interested in RF PIX movie productions, to utilise this download/burn capability?

Provision of this capacity (readily available to Windows users) for Mac users would mutually benefit FlickRocket and RF PIX - your valuable clients.

Sincerely,"

Warm regards for 2016, ranger1.

2016 is the year of JUSTINE and many more movies to come!

The wait for JUSTINE continues. The first 30 minutes of the film are already edited! The first cut, that is. Most of those 30 minutes have poor unfortunate Justine going from bad to worse, as she's dragged, tied spread eagle to huge columns, stripped, whipped, dragged to a pillory and raped. And that's just the beginning of the movie!
JustineSpreadEagle.jpg
The Making Of pictures from the first two days of shooting are now available. Those two days were very relaxed, only one person was whipped, Bea. Many scenes were shot on that day, all of them in one location, the bedroom next to the dungeon. All of the scenes take place on the bed.
JustineMakingOfDay02_4811.jpg
Jac scheduled to shoot, during those 2 days, ALL of the scenes in the cold, damp place that served as the sleeping, resting and healing grounds for the poor, unfortunate damsels. So, in those two days he took care of all the easy scenes, before getting into the hard stuff, The Wheel and The Rack, slated to be done in the course of the following two weeks in the dungeon.
JustineMakingOfDay02_5172.jpg
There will be more pictures posted as the post production advances. Processing the thousands of pictures of the Making of JUSTINE takes time. There are so many photographs this time; it is very difficult to process each one and select the very best.
JustineMakingOfDay01_3952.jpg
It's been a great 2015 and we hope to have a very productive 2016. To be really productive we need to sell our products. So far during the first month of the new year Le Marquis De La Croix is the best seller, followed by Martyr and a far third Maleficarum. Olalla, Justine, (in pre-sales), Dead But Dreaming, Barbazul are competing, almost neck to neck, for the fourth place. This will change dramatically when Maleficarum jumps up again to be number one at the end of the month, it always does. You can make the difference. Pick the one that attracts you the most at this point, take your pick. We have great movies and we still HAVE A SALE!
LeMarquisTeaseCaps00283505.jpg
We have a different sale now. The New Year Sale, on all of our Downloads and DVDs. If you buy ONE movie, there's NO DISCOUNT at all. If you buy TWO movies you get 20% OFF if you buy 3 movies you get 30% OFF and if you buy 4 or more movies you get 35% OFF.

Hello Margot,
As you can see from my reply of 1 January last, "FlickRocket Support" did not even have the courtesy to reply to my email enquiry regarding extending Red Feline Pictures download facilities to Mac users. They have previously ignored my enquiries about download/burning for Mac users. Their manners have not improved.

Consequently, the above DOWNLOAD links ( http://movies.redfeline.com and http://vermeerworks.com) should more correctly be noted as available to WINDOWS users ONLY. This would more accurately reflect the accessibility of download facility to Macintosh users as equally as Windows users.

I still have 4 or 5 movies I would purchase via download, should that download facility become available to burn (one time only) to DVD on my iMac. I still admire RF PIX and your work immensely.

Warm regards, ranger 1.

JUSTINE is coming!
JUSTINE is at 1 hour 40 minutes now!
The first cut of JUSTINE has reached an hour and forty minutes of screen time. It will certainly pass the 2 hour mark by the time the first cut is ready this weekend. The length expected when it's all done is around 90 min. There's a lot to be cut out. The previous information about the Making Of pictures was mistaken. The third day of shooting was still in the bedroom area. It will take some time before the dungeon pictures are processed. The Rack, The Wheel scenes began on the FOURTH day.
JustineMakingOfDay03_6379.jpg
The Crucifixion scene was shot on the last days of the production. We have a long wait for those pictures. (Check Amy's selfie from the cross in JUSTINE.)
AmySelfieFromCross01.jpg

The New Year Sale: If you buy ONE movie, there's no discount at all. If you buy two movies you get 20% OFF if you buy 3 movies you get 30% OFF and if you buy 4 or more movies you get 35% OFF.
YOU HAVE TO BUY THEM AT THE SAME TIME FOR THE DISCOUNT TO WORK!
Agentcomposite.jpg

The New Year Sale has interesting results. Le Marquis De La Croix remains as the best seller for the month of January.
LeMarquisTeaseCaps01120022.jpg
Martyr retains the second place.
Martyr003432.jpg
Maleficarum closes in very, very quickly.
Maleficarum0596.jpg

Dead But Dreaming and Olalla are tied on the fourth place leaving Justine, (in pre-sales), Barbazul and Agent X struggling, neck to neck for the FIFTH place.
DBD00433600.jpg

The Fourth place has been taken by The Via Crucis of Camille 8! It is a surprise because all of the oldies never reach that kind of level, surpassing feature films with a larger and wider following.

You can also contribute to the campaign for JUSTINE and get a reduced price DVD or Download or any perk as described! (This option will be over when the date of release is announced)

The rough cut of JUSTINE, the highly anticipated film based on De Sade's famous story, is done!
JustineMakingOfDay04_8751.jpg
The timeline marked 2 hrs, 12 min, 56 sec and a few frames. The FIRST cut has begun and the work of the knife has already taken 4 minutes of edited footage! That's footage that will never be seen, as it always happens. To give you an example. The script calls for Justine to receive 50 lashes. To get those 50 lashes Amy receives at least 150, if not more. 100 lashes go to the OUTS bin. Lots of great and dramatic close ups, gone, lots of great long shots, gone, lots of medium shots, gone. That's how it goes.
JustineMakingOfDay04_8451.jpg
The expected final length of the film is 90 min. That means that more than 40 min of what was edited will go to the OUTS bin.
JustineMakingOfDay03_6377.jpg
We will have excess footage from all the torture scenes, but what ends up in the movie will be what is supposed to be in the movie. If Jac were to make movies only from the scenes that were cut out from all the movies, like Martyr, or Dead But Dreaming, maybe even Maleficarum, he could make a few movies of just whipping and or torture. I could imagine The Whipping of Bea, with all the footage that will not be on the film. Or The Whipping of Amy... and so on.
JustineMakingOfDay05_8966.jpg
I will be announcing the release date sometime in the middle of the month.
JustineMakingOfDay05_10008.jpg
The Carnival Sale has begun: Buy two movies or more you get 20% OFF. YOU HAVE TO BUY THEM AT THE SAME TIME FOR THE DISCOUNT TO WORK!

It's carnival time. Not much to do, everyone is doing something, somewhere, some of it involves playing with water, or concert gigs for the three rock bands some of our people are part of. Amy is busy with Pygmalion and other film related biz, Jac is enjoying a quiet time with the cats, Chet Baker, Pink Floyd and JUSTINE. It's a very long weekend for Bolivians. People will return to work on Wednesday, for a couple of days, to then continue their carnival celebrations.
EditingJustineWithNina01.jpg
Jac had a surprise visitor, a journalist that presented him with a copy of his review of OLALLA, a great review, and asked him for an interview. Jac was happy to oblige, so he gave a long interview, 46 min worth, about a lot of his work, particularly in Sirwiñakuy and Olalla, two of the films the interviewer was most interested to know about, since those are the two films he saw. The interview and review will be published when OLALLA has a special presentation in Potosí, where the 1800's part of the film was shot, sometime before June, but we have the permission to publish it in our sites in both languages.

A fan wrote recently: Finally bought Le Marquis de la Croix and Martyr. So exquisite. Love your actresses' realistic performances (and bodies!). Looking forward to Justine. I'm sure De Sade would be proud. XX

You are not alone in your sudden interest in Martyr and Le Marquis. We've seen an increase in sales in both films lately. I love the comment about the performances being realistic. They are. I strongly believe that what makes our films as impressive as they are, is the acting, more than the beauty of the performers, or their bodies, or their daring to go so far.

It's their acting what makes our films stand out. Carmen is a great actress. If Jac has any regrets is that he did not have enough funds to make the movies he wanted to make with her back in the day. Happily, they worked in Martyr.

Meanwhile, the results of our sales haven't changed much. Maleficarum remains as the best seller of all times. Le Marquis is keeping the second place at a healthy distance. Martyr has taken over the Third place leaving Dead But Dreaming and JUSTINE (always in pre sales) sharing the Fourth place, Olalla is alone in the FIFTH place and Barbazul has gone down to the Sixth place in the preference of our fans. Agent X is in seventh place, closely followed by Sirwiñakuy. The rest of the movies are below what we call the litmus line.

While having a nice walk, a thought came to me. A What If thought. What if Jac decided to go back to his roots. I had a hard time deciding what I would consider his roots. The Haiti film? A return to in depth, passionate documentaries about issues that concern him? The Man on the Moon miniseries?Where he discovered Carmen aka Camille and her amazing talent? The One Man Crew One Actress style of work in basically fetish crucifixion movies? Producing High Standards Television like NatGeo where he met Amy? The last one would not be his roots, of course. The Haiti film, or the Miniseries for TV would be closer to his roots. So, What If? That's one question that I would pose to him and I think I will. It's a rhetorical question right now, in case you are all wondering.
