A adds contrast to add shadows with a sun above her. I do like B better however. It's easier on my eyes.

For me it's 'A'. The shadows casted from the sun gives life to the cartoon.

Most definitely A. The shadow work is brilliant.
They are both good... the different shadows can represent different locations of the sun overhead.
I slightly prefer B, because the shadows emphasize the 3D illusion of the breasts and knees being closer. Your design of the lines and anatomy also works well for showing a 2D flat (cartoony) symbol, but you have skills in using shading that implys the idea that the viewer is looking into a 3D space.

Both are good. But yes, "A" is better because not only does the shadow offer more depth, but it also feels like the sun is moving along, gradually setting on the poor girl.
