Story advice

Go to CruxDreams.com
I am trying to write a story to add to here but I’m having a bit of a creative writing block. I know the general story idea that I want. I know that I wanted it to end in death via crucifixion. The problem I’m running into is trying to make it slightly erotic while also kind of horrifying because crucifixion isn’t glorious. Can ANYONE give me advice? Or help me finish the story?

A possible hint: such stories often originate from a setting of a crucifixion fantasy. Design that fantasy (place, people, era,..) and next work to the 'via cruxis' : the backstory (actions, motive, circumstances, how did it go wrong,..) that brought the characters to the cross. In other words : develop the storyline backwards and then start writing it forward! Many ideas will come up underway!

It could be exciting for the executioner, someone just watching the spectacle of crucifixion, watching an exposed naked body.
It is horrible for the crucified, and possibly for friends and family watching.
You can use these different viewpoints in your story, you could even mix them up.
Someone getting aroused by the sight of the a crucified friend even if she knows it it horrible what is happening.
An executioner who feels regret after performing his duties.

Write the story you want with no editing. Once you're finished, remove 2/3 of it and then you'll have a good story. As has been said before, a trash can is the writer's best friend.
You may replace at least part of the removed text with better text

For what you say, it might be that you are trying to solve 2 things at once
- decide what are the erotic and the horrifying things you want to convey in your story
- how to arrange those things into a story

You could try a divide and conquer approach, first write on a draft simple bullet list with the first part (without the pressure of making it work in the story yet).
And then as a second step, figure out how they could fit in your sotry.

(same idea @Loxuru said. I should read the thread before blabbing :) )

Well, I posted a story. I just hope it comes together how I want it to.

The greatest danger in this approach, I reckon (from personal writing experience), is getting stuck in the first part, by too elaborate plot or character development, ultimately 'forgetting', that it is the purpose to have your characters nailed to a cross at the end.

And secondly, welding the two parts smoothly together, that's also often a challenge.:icon_writing:

Yes I agree with your point. I didn't mean the first part as a detailed outline. It should remain very minimal, 3-4 key points of a few words.. The key ideas that you want to remain in the readers head after they are done reading. In my case, it is what gets me going when I imagine the story..

For a crucifixion story it could be:
- Body tensing as the first nail enters the wrist
- Mix of embarrassment /arousal of being raised on the cross in front of a familiar crowd
- Orgasm face as the spear pierces their flesh and before they bleed to death

And then, the rest of the story and can be articulated around those key scenes.

For @Lovessex247, given the goal of making the crucifixion slighting erotic but also horrifying, it could be 1 erotic image and 2 very gross/horrifying ones.
