and........................... A Tribute to the Queen of 70s Softcore porn

She was Dutch I think, and Dutch people where the first "emancipated" after may 68 revolution. What I like from this peole is that they did it on a peacefull way.
peacefull way? not quite right but it was only in our country and she epitomizes the movement

She may not have been much of an actress, but she had the ability to be sensual & seductive without seeming trashy.
Sadly, it seems her personal life never matched her physica; beauty.
And, Hansi, I read a quote from director Just Jaeckin that he went to Holland to cast Emmanuelle because there were so many beautiful women there.

The dubbing in the 'Emanuelle' series was poor and the acting a bit stilted, but the films broke new ground in those days and were useful and acceptable, educational even! Soft porn done decently and delectably.

How did you know they were in your country banned.

I have always lived in the UK, not Saudi Arabia, etc.
I saw them here, most if not all of them.
The theme eventually became repetitive as well,
but the treatment of sexuality was ahead of its time.

wikipedia...................

Unlike many films that tried to avoid an X-rating, the first Emmanuellefilm embraced it, and became a success with a viewing audience estimated at 300 million.[2]It remains one of France's most successful films, and played in the Arc de Triomphe theatre for over eleven years.[3]In France and the US the film was uncut, but British censors balked at masturbation and explicit sex. Heavy cuts were made to the film including the complete removal of the opium den rape and the infamous 'cigarette' sequence in the club.

We saw what we saw, we got what we got. What we got was a whole lot more than other movies were providing at that time, but obviously we were denied the whole five yards. Shame about that, but we Brits are denied a great deal of stuff most of the time anyway. What would be the equivalent today, I wonder?
