The Cnn News About Wales, U.k. Sounds Rather Ominous.

Mindful of how bad things were here in New Jersey a few weeks ago, I heard on CNN TV News that Wales in the UK is suffering severe flooding. To our friends there I hope all is well and our best wishes for a Merry Christmas despite the difficulties.

Wales is always wet. The South Westerly rain sodden winds hit Ireland and Wales first, that's why the grass is always green. Then the rain pushes on to Manchester before it hits the Pennines. We are East of the Pennines so we get some protection. Just spent a few days in Clanndundo...it rained!!

Came up the M6 today, sheeting with rain, severe gale on Shap Fell, all the rivers turned to torrents and flooding neighbouring fields. But when I got to Galloway the sun came out!
