Obviously, there are a lot of people here on CF who like to imagine themselves in an enslaved role. And some would say that a slave is a slave - but of course, that isn't true. The term can encompass anything from the most pampered concubine in the harem to the most unfortunate wretch toiling in the mines, after all. People are drawn to different parts of the whole, and for different reasons. (Notably, while some see it as a form of self-degradation, the fantasy of being an objectively valuable slave can actually flatter the ego instead.)
So, a few questions to those for whom it's relevant...
1. In your fantasies, what sort of role do you see yourself serving as a slave?
2. How valuable do you see yourself as a slave - rare and expensive, bargain bin, or something in-between? (For that matter, how wealthy an owner do you imagine?)
3. If you know of any reasons for the above, I'd be glad to hear.
