catch you crying,
The night's the time
for all your tear's.
Your heart maybe broken tonight,
but tomorrow in the morning light,
don't let the sun catch you crying.
The night time shadows disappear,
and with then go all your tear's,
For the morning will bring joy,
for every girl and boy...so,
don't let the sun catch your crying.
We all know crying's not a bad thing,
but stop your crying when the bird's sing.
It may be hard to discover,that you've been
left for another,but don't forget that love's a game,
and it can always come again,don't let the sun catch you

Gerry and the Pacemakers...1960s
 
In the early 60's Liverpool, Gerry & the Pacemakers were, for a time, bigger than The Beatles. Both were managed by Brian Epstein, played the strip clubs in Hamburg, & were recorded by George Martin. Gerry & the Pacemakers were the first Epstein band to have a number one UK hit - "How Do You Do It", It was replaced on the charts by The Beatles, "From Me to You". They were also the first act to reach number one with their first three singles. The next band to do that was Frankie Goes to Hollywood in 1985. Frankie was also from Liverpool.
