Yes, th christinan historicans ruined his fame. Probably with Fake-News.That's very cleverly done Madi - the crucifixion in the shadows is a brilliant contrast to the revellers in front.
Though Julian isn't looking in a party mood - not at all Dionysian - I'm not sure why the artist, Edward Armitage,
thought Julian would have engaged in Dionysian revels,
my impression is that he was a philosophical type, though of course he got demonised for not being Christian.
