Crumera's Crosstober Celebrations 2023

Day 31

Sunday in the park 2
Inspired by Welsh Webb original drawing
20years later.

A decade ago the Healing pools was the breakthrough for crucifixion in the parks.
Really letting the condemned suffer instead of just displaying them in shame!
After the punishment, the healing pools made sure the condemned kept being a productive member of society without any crippling damage through the nails.
At first the punishment duration for the sentences went down compared with the roped crucifixions, being a more harsher experience.
At the moment the duration has inflated on average to the same length as the roped ones ten years ago.

Repeated offenders are more rare these days, so now it is mostly monthly events of weekly ones.

Another difference is the condemned isn't told the length of the sentences.
Only death sentences are revealed when the act of crucifixion has been completed.
No news is good news for the newly crucified.
But they never know at what time, they will be released from their punishment.

Since there are no death-penalties today, the only guard is Sophie, after the crucifiers retired till the time the first one is to be released.
Main thing she has to guard is the box filled with the womens clothes against thievery.
Great composition and shadow work again, it looks so real. Looks like the event is too common now since there are no spectators.

That was the last one of the Xtober 23 series.
Hope you enjoyed my efforts.
If you did or hated it all and didn't let me know yet,
this would be a good time to make a short post with your opinions.
I would appriciate it very much

Thanks!

Crumera
Certainly enjoyed your efforts! Tree is concerned there is 'no death-penalties' in your last frame. How many of the women crucified have arranged to have themselves crucified because they are exhibitionist or wanting to impress a lover?

Great contribution, Crumera

Nothing there to hate. Great series. It was a treat! Looking very much forward to next year!
Thank you

Oktober passed by like a little hurricane. And what a way to end ... mass crux, all forms and models ... and angles. Loved it. Will remain to cherish. Thx Crumera
Been a wild ride, didn't have much prepared due to extremely busy RL work in august and september.
But happy about the overall result.
Criminal's legs are nailed nearby to each other, because this temporary punishment don't imply raping.
P.S.: in that your work women are the most beautiful.
Indeed no rapes, only voluntary bribes;)

Wow! A fantastic tribute to Welsh Webb's classic! :clapping:
Thanks to @Georg for suggesting this.

It would have been busy, but I left out the spectators as the the scene was already crowded enough.
Adding more non-critical people to the scene would not add, but diminish the overall scene.

At least three ladies are very relieved they haven't been told they were condemned to die.
They would be rather unsettled if they knew their durations.
51 56 and 63 hours. they might survive and they might very well perish on the nails .

Contempt of court?
Not the best idea!

Arranging to be crucified for any selfish reasons has greatly been diminished since the introduction of nailed crucifxions.
There are some mad enough to go through with their desires, estimation is now from 40-60%before to 10%. average now.

Too bad there are only 31 days in October!:(

I shall review the series and give my opinions soon.:icon_writing:

Thanks already, @crumera for this exciting month!:ARMS1::thumbup::clap:

My art so good it doesn't need comments?
Wow... So comments are reserved only for negative feedback?
I see comments mostly as something positive and even a reward/encouragement.
First pic in this thread is watched more then a 1000 times 30+ likes and 3 whole comments.

I get 90% of the comments on my work from the same group of about maybe 10-15 people.(My guesstimate)
The section below is not directed at them!

Seems obvious many of you people like what I make, but I feel that I am hardly encouraged in my effort to continue.

Please tell me why I should continue posting every day in october?
Why should I contemplate planning next years Xtober ?

Your disheartened artist,
Crumera
Please continue, there are many people enyoy your artworks i think
i love the images and often i wish ,i was one of the girls, i love it!

I'll continue but at least 1 every day is a bit much.
maybe next year same month for that.

As for volunteering to get a 3D approximation of you crucified?
Well there is a bit of a waiting list.

Tahnks for the feedback
@nailed girl
@Wragg
@captivecuties
@Loxuru think 31 is enough ;)

Now posting new stuff in my regular thread again.

Here is a bit of overview of the past Crumera's Crosstober Celebrations 2023 :

Posted on page of this thread :
Page 1 : #1 to #7
Page 2 : #8 and #9
Page 3 : #10 to #12
Page 4 : #13 to #16
Page 5 : #17 and #18
Page 6 : #19 to #23
Page 7 : #24 to #26
Page 8 : #27 to #31

By number of crucified :

16 ‘solo’
6 duo crucifixions
2 trio crucifixions
7 mass crucifixions (3<)

There were a total of 78 crucified, all women.

The maximum number of crucified on one pic was 10 (#24 and #31).

3 pics were ‘sequenced’ (#2, #9 and #26).

The setting was as follows :

15 were unspecified
6 were in Roman times
5 were in a dystopian context, ether in a perceived past (3), or a perceived future (2)
4 were in a today’s setting
1 was in a specified past (World War 2).

So, here is my judgement :

Best pic : the Welsh Webb tribute (#31)
Runner up (= best mass crucifixion pic) : no more horses (#26)
Best pic of a solo crucifixion : the disowned daughter (#10)
Best pic of a duo crucifixion : the crimesisters (#21), since the deserved it
Best pic of a trio crucifixion : the crucified curse (#15)

Other awards :

Original crucifixion method : the winch (#3)
Best Point of View : the mother and daughter (#11)
Best wall decoration and arrangement of crucified : the 10 queens (#24)
Best backstory : the whodunnit (#28)

Love your summation and ranking of this Xtober series.
Thank you!

@Loxuru on day 5 a double crux, one male one female crucifed. -->>>not all women ;)

Ooops, you are right! I have overlooked that poor fellow!

That makes him the sole male crucified, next to 77 women! A lucky bastard, so to say!
I doubt he feels that lucky even with the BJ he got.

@Georg thanks , yeah I get the overall feeling most people like the last one most :p
