Eul and the Hanging Tree walked one day
Through the beautiful Cruxton Wood,
As they walked through the trees, the warm Cruxton breeze
Put the Tree in a fine cruxing mood.
He looked and he found some wood on the ground,
He carefully brushed off the moss.
“Oh Eul, look around, come, see what I’ve found!
“You’d look awfully nice on a cross,
“A cross!
“You’d look awfully nice on a cross!”

Said she to the Tree, “It sounds good to me,
“You may crucify me if you like!
“I can take off my clothes, but I don’t suppose
“You remembered a hammer and spike?”
“Oh do come on, Eul, do you think I’m a fool?
“You know I’m a cruxer of note!
“Have faith, my sweet Eul, for I have the tools
“I keep them just here in my coat
“My coat!
“I keep them just here in my coat!”

She saw he was right, and she smiled with delight
And soon she was naked as born;
And there in the shade of that warm Cruxton glade
Her wrists with those nails were torn.
There were tears in her eyes as that brave lady cried
But her nipples, tumescent, looked good;
With her limbs stretched out wide - lovely Eul crucified
On her cross in a glade in the wood
The wood!
On her cross in a glade in the wood.

Very nice lyrics. One could strum a guitar or pick on a banjo and make a lovely lament to a naked woman.

The true delight is the fleeting plight
Not a doubt or a simple remiss
Is it love or lust
That's come to pass ...
