Stumbling Seeker
Well there are sometimes some interesting things going on with warts. I got some on my fingers when I was about 7 years old, I guess that was the reward for acting like a little witchgirl and touching toads too much The medical therapy back then was basically freezing them with a little chip of dry ice and then burning them away. That was supposed to be done in several sessions. I found the first of those treatments absolutely gruesome and right after that all the other warts disappeared without a trace in short order - while the treated one left behind a small but permanent scar.My grandmother could also "heal" as she called it. When I was a child, she once made some warts disappear for me - completely. Unfortunately she could not pass this knowledge on to me, she said it must always be passed from a woman to her son and from a man to his daughter. Unfortunately, my father and his brother, who were born in the late 1920's, were not at all interested in such things. So this knowledge has probably been lost forever.
Since there were no spells involved except maybe autosuggestion I guess it wasn't witchcraft but just psychosomatic / neuro-immunological something something...
