I think you're fairly safe, if she's planning on throwing the arrows or chasing after you to stab you with them. She doesn't seem to realize what the bow is for at all. Also, I just noticed, she has no quiver for the arrows - she appears to be using one of the arrows as a back scratcher.

That's it, she's not actually hunting or anything. She just has an itch.

Only amateurs use sights. Real Amazons would take them out at well over 15 meters without using sights.

She carries my bow and arrows, an on the rare occasions when I miss I keep a whip handy and punish her.

As usual, when I do something stupid, it was on a dare,

For competitive shooting I don't go topless. Although I suppose that would distract the boys ....... hmmmm ......... nah, none of them are interesting enough to distract.

If there is substantial prize money, it is worth it to distract the competitors. You have to think like Mae West, say. This is business.

You can also smoke out who is a real, serious poker player if there are topless players in the game. As Warren Buffet says, "until the tide goes out you can't tell who's swimming naked". It's a way to see who's focused and who's play-acting.

this way of putting finger(s) over the arrow is often shown in the pics here,
it seems badly wrong to me,
and if I saw a kid wanting to shoot like that in my garden I'd tell him to stop.

Yes, she'll cut her fingers badly that way, and the arrow won't fly true.

I know a lot of archers who do that. Particularity traditional archers where the bow has no arrow rest.

The idea is to get you r finger out of the way at the same time you release the string.

It is amazing how many different techniques there are *historically) for hold and firing a bow.
