Well, it's a scifi manga series in which the 2 main heroines, 1 of them being the girl crucified in these panels, grow large to fight off giant aliens.
So, I'd have to say some time travel shenanigans are involved in this particular chapter.
I haven’t been following this thread, and I’m not an anime fan. But I’ve just skimmed this thread and didn't find the drawing below. Don’t recall where I found her, but she wound up in my Favorites folder, because I find her musculature and even her tuft of pubic hair excessively erotic.

The reason the way the girl hangs looks realistic is because that’s how a real body hangs on a cross. The pose is so like Makar’s model Irina that I wonder if she was used as a template.

I wish other pictures were like that. Even some of the real crux pictures aren’t that great because the girls aren’t all that in my eyes but you can’t complain this is an incredibly niche interest.You noticed that too.
