Year 1978 – ESMA. I was inspired to create this image by an image I generated from a video.

Argentina 1978. A couple in a torture prison of the ESMA.

The couple was arrested at night in their home and taken to a notorious torture prison run by ESMA. Their clothes were torn off and they were blindfolded.

Scene:
The man was forced onto two chairs with his legs spread and his arms tied behind his back. At his neck is a noose which is fastened to the ceiling.

The woman was tied to a steel post. In order for her to see, her blindfold was removed. She sees that her husband's testicles are being brutally squeezed by a soldier with both hands. Again and again... squeezing, twisting and forcibly pulling them down.

The soldier next to her says:
"If you had the desire to have children, it probably won't work anymore. My comrade always does all the work, which often takes hours. He has already torn off the scrotum of a subversive with his bare hands."

I always wanted to make an image with a medieval scene. Such an image from the good old days. In which justice was still done.

The story is simple, according to the time.
The sisters Martha and Tabea have been accused of bewitching the fields and fucking with the devil. The former led to famine due to crop failure. The second aroused probably the disfavor of some older ladies. Will have been probably also some envy with in the play.

After the siblings had confessed extensively in the embarrassing interrogation, both were sentenced to death by torture. Of course, despite the seriousness of their deeds, they were granted spiritual assistance for their poor souls. Hence, the monks in the picture.
