I briefly worked in a bookstore and when Bettie’s biography was being released, I saw it before it hit the shelves.
There was a small message in the Preface that if you sent the book and $60.00, she would autograph it.
I got one!
But stupidly, I did not get another.
Now those copies sell for about $ 700.00
But I will not part with mine.
