Well, it was closer to my youth, but the pictures I remember is that you could easely provoke by topless pics. But there was the FKK movement in germany where one could get complete nude females, but do not forget it was before 1968....
Male nudes on the other hand were more common, but mostly the backside. So if I compare
with
we see other times...

I should probably add, that I have from a book about vaccinations, a clear pic of nude male from the backside of the timns of the spanish flu, so 1919, but I have no public pic of a female in a similar state even not 1960. We however have pics of variety artists such as Josefine Baker or Mata Hari, but also those were quite tame, even sometimes with skin suits in body color. Also remember that the female vagina region is sometimes removed in the foto-post process, so the female looks like a Barbie puppet...
Alfred Cheney Johnston (google him) often enough defeminized the Ziegfeld showgirls he photographed, but in the case of Naomi Johnson
and many others, he did not.
