Natalie Barney (1876-1972) came out as a lesbian before the word even meant "lesbian." She was born into railroad baron money in Dayton, Ohio, but spent most of her amazingly long life in Paris, where she wrote prolifically in French, let down her hair, got naked a lot, but mostly in indoors, because if you were a pretty woman in early 20th century Paris who could be had, she would have you.

The result, if fake, is an excellent pre-Photoshop fake.

I don't think it's fake. Later shots of the lady indicate same bone-structure.

I tried the Library of Congress but the issue isn't available.
I believe it's Bernardine Dohrn; no reason why it shouldn't be.
Lots of boys and girls took nudes of each other, it wasn't hard
to get photos developed, plus there were always Polaroids.
