Unfortunately I think there is no one else like Quoom. SkatingJesus is good with storyline but lack in variety of tortures also the degree of brutality. Losing Quoom is surely a wound that can never heal. I remember the first time I saw his work was more than ten years ago with Enemy of Rome, which was somehow unfinished but still brilliant story. His Conquered series are my favorite.

I knew him since the late nineties, and exchanged many mails with him over the years. One of his first stories was based on a short story I wrote, Jolanda's Ordeal. Indeed no one is like him. SJ, as you say, makes full stories with excellent detail, but it's always whipping, raping and crucifixion, I think he never did a rack scene, a wooden horse, a stakeout... Other great figures lack something in technique, or are not into full stories...
