Carrying the Cross

Im just curious, we always see depictions of a woman carrying the cross naked and barefoot in nice warm weather depictions, im curious what about in winter?? Would a woman still have to carry her cross naked and barefoot in the winter time despite the snow and ice everywhere?

The crucifixions would have to occur in all weathers, cold, snow and freezing rain would simply add to the torment. Sometimes I want to flagellate the person who is carrying the patibulum, sometimes I want to carry the patibulum myself. So it depends from you.

The title of this one suggests she is off to the slave market, but really this looks like a modern day walk to the crucifixion site, with the added torment of being dragged behind a motor vehicle.


This one is pretty but looks too easy


These two are struggling, with the wood, their wounds, the weather (hot or cold)


It helps to have a bit of muscle to easily manage all that weight.

Such compassion. It the old days she would have been whipped to motivate her march to the cross. This way, she arrives with a prime body, more fit for a long crucifixion!!
