Carrying the Cross

I know this thread deals with carrying the cross, but I'm sure, over the years, I've seen these photos of this woman before. Does anyone have images of her actually hanging on a cross? I'm sure they exist.

Whipped, spit on, either wearing a collar and leash type thing...or nipple rings and a rope, either way, I wanna be led like a cow or a bad puppy through the busy streets, falling on my face in the grime and the manure, being gawked at and hissed at, especially by the good proper ladies and matrons of my community, who will be shocked at the indecent, humiliating spectacle I'll be providing! Hopefully I'm accompanied by a few other pathetic wenches...

Seems like Athala should have been a good obedient girl instead of willful and rebellious...at least she's learning a very important lesson about submitting our conquered bodies to our Roman masters! Believe me as a Judean girl I should know ;)

the patibulum on slave's back walk is mandatory, i think, in order the slave begins to suffer before the Cross. The slave must feel the pain as soon as the ordeal is known : he/she can touch the Wood of Pain before the real extreme suffering which occurs when he/she will be crucified.
 
If anyone has gotten to play out a crux scene themselves, just how heavy was the patibulum you carried, or the entire cross if that was the case? I like to think of myself as pretty strong, but wood sturdy enough to tie a human onto must be dense and heavy. Combined with a long walk, bare footed and naked, maybe awkwardly walking if your ankles are bound or shackled, the mental anguish of cramping shoulders and humiliation, not to mention the physical awkwardness of balance if the beam is already tied to you

I never took a walk with a cross, however, I give you my opinion on what I know. I used 2 x4's when self-crucifying. I did it in an attic where the patibulum was a rafter and the stipes was a 2 x 4 attached to the rafter and secured to the wooden floor. If I were going to be crucified outdoors, I would want to use 4 x 4's, with the stipes length of at least 10 feet, 12 feet would be better, as you'll want the cross buried 2 or 3 feet into the ground. The longer the stipes the further you'll want it in the ground. A heathy male should be able to carry it but a female might need to carry just the patibulum, which I would suggest being at least 5 or 6 feet in length. I hope you find this helpful.

Bobbie expects mercy when she is brought to her crucifixion. Tree admits carrying the whole cross could wear her out...
