Great artwork dear Sir many thanks!
Seen this in some other threads, and it's time to comment. I love it. Bob has combined Alice and Koshka, a set of hard faced Romans, and Morten's Vivien in an evocative scene that is all too believable. Every figure is perfect for the scene, and with framing and depth of field Vivien emerges as the subject of the story. Her visible breasts and outstretched arms give a hint to what is to come as she looks into the distance, perhaps at the execution place itself. There will be no mercy to be found here, only pain and suffering.
Beautiful work, Bob.
That's a great work, using a perspective one doesn't often see. Excellent work on the depth of field with a sharper focus on Vivien. This is a very nicely atmospheric image
I mean, I know it's early in the morning and he might prefer to be in bed, but the legionary on the right could look a bit more cheerful...
Alice? Koshka? AND Vivian? Lucky bugger. He ought to be looking as though he's won the lottery!
If it makes you feel better, you miserable Roman git, I'm looking as if I've won the lottery, with such a marvellous image to admire!
Love this!!!
No mistake! That IS the cheerful look of a well trained and well disciplined legionary!
He's just strictly business. He will smile a bit when his charges have been nailed, raised, and are slowly dying naked on their crosses.
Cheer up ladies, your almost there and you won't have to carry that damn log much longer ! heheheheheheehehe
Many thanks to everyone for the positive responses. This was an interesting experiment in lighting and depth of field techniques, and I'm glad it has been so well received. It will be carrying you!
