May I dare a request ? What happened to the indian cheating wife after the whipping ? She tried to escape, but I read once this :

"In India, to punish an adulterous woman, her family makes her a beautiful bed of embers and lays her on it. Sweet dreams little princess."

Very nice. I think in the original posting of this elsewhere it read something like " cast into the arid wilderness, she was shunned by the villagers she had previously rules with a cruel hand, until she had to decide whether to take her own life, or wait until starvation or possibly a tiger, took it first"
