With AI coming on we will be able to see scenes like this reworked to more realistic images with the victim naked. Oh yeah.Flogging scene from Banished (BBC, 2015) -- MyAnna Buring. I found these screen caps out of order, so I'm not sure this is the correct sequence.

Can´t wait....With AI coming on we will be able to see scenes like this reworked to more realistic images with the victim naked. Oh yeah.
This scene was not realistic, even in the 18th Century it was appreciated that driving dirty cloth into wounds could prove fatal, hence before battle the British soldier must don a clean shirt, and even women were whipped on bare flesh in the penal camps. With AI coming on we will be able to see scenes like this reworked to more realistic images with the victim naked. It’s only realistic when seeking to be approved to a more general movie classification! This scene was not realistic, even in the 18th Century it was appreciated that driving dirty cloth into wounds could prove fatal, hence before battle the British soldier must don a clean shirt, and even women were whipped on bare flesh in the penal camps.
They do address this in the scene. The officer orders her to strip for exactly this reason and she stubbornly refuses. Then he's too impatient to press the issue furtherThis scene was not realistic, even in the 18th Century it was appreciated that driving dirty cloth into wounds could prove fatal, hence before battle the British soldier must don a clean shirt, and even women were whipped on bare flesh in the penal camps.

Of course, but the BBC can do it, viz "The Journey of Mary Bryant."It’s only realistic when seeking to be approved to a more general movie classification!
Mary Bryant was actually an Aussie production, that's the difference lol. @Loinclothslave will tell you all you need to know about their sensibilitiesOf course, but the BBC can do it, viz "The Journey of Mary Bryant."
Even Midnight Oil sang it: “Daytime Telly, bluer than stone!” (Power and the Passion)Mary Bryant was actually an Aussie production, that's the difference lol. @Loinclothslave will tell you all you need to know about their sensibilities
The books are much more juicier than the movies. Angelique is naked in the whipping and sex scenes. The writing is really good with tension built before every climactic event.I confirm: "Merveilleuse Angélique"
Hereafter, other pics from "Angélique et le Sultan"
Angelique provided many teenage fantasies. The books are much more juicier than the movies. Angelique is naked in the whipping and sex scenes. The writing is really good with tension built before every climactic event.
It's only been out a couple of weeks, and is still being distributed, but there are a few first reactions in Margot's thread:Has anyone had a chance to watch that new Red Feline/Pachamama (or whatever the studio calls themselves nowdays) movie "Seditiosa" yet?
I see its something that's out now and purports to be a "female christ" type movie (like most of their stuff is I guess)
But several things put me on the fence about it pending some glowing reviews...wasn't sure if anyone else has seen yet?
Some things that are possibly off putting are if its Jac doing the whippings...the fact that they seem to be saying the ONLY whipping scene in movie is not just one girl but three at once (just ugh...why?)...and the trailer (which doesn't show ANYTHING of value)
Not sure if anyone saw and can say whether or not my concerns with this newest red feline thing are justified or not?
Here's a website similar to the old Whipping Scenes in Movies Database:
