I always told myself that these drawings inspire me, a tortured and crucified Red Sonja. Although the heroine of the drawings is another, for me it will always be Sonja. I've always thought about doing a story about them, but I never make up my mind.



Contrary to the drawings, I would put a still defiant and brave Red Sonja before her executioners, even after the girl was whipped. This attitude will disappear when it is nailed to the cross, and in it its defiant face will disappear to become pure suffer crying in pain.

Of this series of images the third attracts me; but the latter has a certain flavor. In the third he is defiant and in the last he has a face of resignation, an attitude not very in line with Red Sonja.
