Digging out that old thread for a crux image that I just found.
Unfortunately I don't know anything about it, maybe somebody knows who the artist might be?

Yesterday, I have transmitted to Fantasmo this pic, coming, I think, from
"Kamui Den" by Sampeï Chirato ; It's a huge oeuvre, dated in 1964, and
comprising not less than 6,000 pages....

I have always liked the girl on the wheel - the crow just picking the most tasty morsel to begin with. Looks like he has focused on the right nipple - yum-yum.:)
Eulalia said she wanted to keep her bra and panties on, at least to begin with. Sorry no bra, need to give the crows a chance, she can't frighten the birds with her screams (good thinking).
Come back later and whip the loincloth away too.

crows go for the eyes first - and screams don't put them off​
(at least, that's true when they go for a sickly lamb)​

I like the wheel as well, although it was usually used for men in france!! They also got the sword, while women usually were hung or burnt at the stake.
 
great images, GranDaddyO, thanks for posting them -
we do ask friends to post thumbnails (select at the bottom left of the box once they've uploaded)
this is because some people have slow/expensive connections and full-size pics can cost them a lot of time/money - we can easily expand thumbnails by clicking on them
