Got tricked here. A guy was tied to a cross to suffer because he was over-zealous in prosecuting pagans. He said the judge would release him if someone said to let him off the cross.

So the poor naïve slave girl did and was then whipped and roped to the same cross for 10 hours as punishment for letting a criminal go (BY the criminal by the way).

So two lesson here:

1) No good deed goes unpunished.
2) NEVER EVER trust a guy!

SeD and I had a RP today in where the premise was a city went into revolt led partially by the religious leadership. Since that was the case the Senate stripped the religious leadership (including the Temple virgins) of their immunity and ordered the General in charge to make an example of all of them.

The lucky male priests were killed in the attack on the temple and the remaining men crucified. The slave girls were seized and distributed to the Legionaries. The Priestesses were gang raped by the troops and them crucified. The Temple virgins suffered the same fate at the hands of the General's personal bodyguard, except one he reserved for himself. After he was bored with her, she joined the others on the cross in the marketplace by the harbor.
