I think large amount of image is somehow unnecessary to appear here

For example, duplicated Asian bondage image which in fact you can find in earlier post in that thread (the ancient Chinese thread

Another example is I doubt there are any need for a thread that just posting non BDSM or non crux related anime pictures, and there are also a thread that serve for similar purpose but that is cosplay. Both thread account for total of 3000 replies which mostly random picture

I think what people really want to see in crux forum is something that is related to BDSM or Crucifixion related topics, and also those 3D master (such as Jucundus,SJ, Jedakk.you,etc) work rather than those things which you can find a lot more on Rule 34 or E hentai or even Twitter

yes, I have monty... I'm not talking about the new members of the forum, that's fine... I'm talking about the artists who left here, are leaving, and there are hardly any new ones anymore... but there is content left after them, which has not been updated several years...(hasturan/alexart, Quoom, and others)

honestly, it would be convenient to find and (create a backup on the cloud) and delete these images from already inactive people-members.....I know of a few threads that are locked, and it is no longer possible to insert posts into them...that is, an unnecessary burden for website...

when I take into account that I've been a member of CF for about 13 years (under different names). that's a shame...

someone leaves because of restrictions from the web administrators, someone disagrees with the rules, and someone unfortunately can no longer create because of IRL.. yes, there are new artists, but unfortunately there are very few of them.. and what annoys me is plagiarism! there is nothing more annoying when you find your work on other people's websites..and they don't even mention you as the creator of those images...

and I have to say only one thing to my disappointment... there have been fewer active artists...
and that's a lot... I know there are some who still post pictures, but compared to ten years ago, there are damn few of them...

hmm it was just my impression, but I hope CF doesn't meet the same fate as visionofdarkness once did....

There’s no evidence that CruxForums is dying. What staff are trying to do is control our monthly useage charges. It’s an experiment to see if size and number controls on images and gifs, and eliminating videos loaded onto the site, can accomplish that. Old unused threads and images may be eliminated, although it’s not clear yet whether that can be done.

We are not a commercial porn site, and take pride in that, and don’t intend to become one.

Most members are more than willing to go along with this effort. We’re not really asking that much. Large files can be easily resized before posting with no significant loss of quality,

Now, back to regular programming please.

Just out of interest I can find only one quoom who was a member here. His record is as follows
Joined Nov 30th 2011 at 5.46 p.m.
Last activity Nov 30th 2011 at 5.47 p.m.

Not the Quoom previously mentioned obviously. Many pics of the Quoom have been uploaded here but it is not a practice that we encourage and we have no intention of updating. And as Barbaria says let's get back on track.

Guys, this site was funded for years by IM and friends. Things changed and donations fund it now. So let's keep our opinions out and live with the current reality, OK?

Artists have a more generous limit of one megabyte, it is perfectly possible to get a decent quality picture to post in that range. External hosting is also possible.

The biggest cost is bandwidth, and the biggest part of that is users downloading new content, so it's worth restricting this for a while to see what impact it has.

the limit of one megabit is really annoying... golden times when I didn't have to deal with this...

and for some of my pictures, but unfortunately this limit cannot be reached... I tried it.

anyway, I reduced the size of other pictures, and I will upload the rest to pixiev and deviantart in the future.

for now you can check out my existing work.

I respect the right of any artist to resist limitations or editing of his/her work (see note below), but I think images can be reduced without visible loss of quality (unless you're using a big screen TV to view them).

Here's a test: which image is the original 2.1 mg, and which is the one I reduced to 0.9 using Preview on my Mac (which took about 30 seconds). You can click on the image and go to Imgur to see larger versions. (No fair peeking at the metadata!)

OK, seems nobody wants to play the game and guess, so I'll divulge the answer.
Gaul 3B is the original 2.1 mg pic. Gaul 3A is the reduced, 0.9 mg pic. I, for one, don't see any loss of quality.

The odd thing is that I did almost exactly the same thing in The Coffee Shop. I must admit I did not see this post and I bet a lot of people missed mine. You do however very neatly back up what I thought, namely that with good compression you really can't see the difference. Do you know of a better online one than Simple Image Resizer? I also note that you used Imgur...excellent.
