I though that’s what OnlyFans was for..OnlyFans are reported as saying they are soon going to 'block sexually explicit content and video'

So one would think, the Guardian even considers the two things to be 'synonymous'I though that’s what OnlyFans was for..
Yup, and pressure from upstream financials & payment processing companies makes sense in that context too.I don't think it's so much puritanism as the fear of being linked to sex trafficking and/or underage and the legal consequences of that. And that's not an unrealistic fear when you allow user-generated content. Just look how many mods monitor this site, which gets a few hundred posts a day (and they do an excellent job). Now imagine trying to control a site that gets thousands or hundreds of thousands of posts/day.
Well, since onlyfans is mainly about videos that pornstars share with their fans, I think it will destroy the site ...Well as another example, OnlyFans are reported as saying they are soon going to 'block sexually explicit content and video' and it's said to be mostly pressure from payment companies.
You're absolutely correct. If Onlyfans think they're going to survive this move, then they're in for a truly horrific wake-up call!Well, since onlyfans is mainly about videos that pornstars share with their fans, I think it will destroy the site ...
Onlyfans is dead. They've just committed corporate suicide. Given the amount of money this content made for them, they can be sure that someone will be happy to step in and take their cutMore reasons to cuss OnlyFans.
‘I Feel Used’: OnlyFans Made Millions Off Sex Workers’ Labor, Then Hung Them Out To Dry
A sudden policy change that will ban "sexually explicit" material from OnlyFans threatens to upend the lives of those who made the platform successful.www.huffpost.com
As usual there are multiple sides to every story, this one takes a different viewMore reasons to cuss OnlyFans.

I am unable to argue with that.Honestly, a lot of those examples from the Huffpost link rather point to a political problem, (the consequences of the absence of a social safety net and the risk of healthcare bankruptcy etc.)
Sex work usually does.Honestly, a lot of those examples from the Huffpost link rather point to a political problem, (the consequences of the absence of a social safety net and the risk of healthcare bankruptcy etc.)
I agree that is most likely where these companies are coming from, but the pressure most certainly is coming from puritans, who want all porn and all extra-marital sex removed from society.I don't think it's so much puritanism as the fear of being linked to sex trafficking and/or underage and the legal consequences of that. Yeah good luck with that. The fact is that sex sells. Always has. Always will. To suggest otherwise is to deny the very nature of what it is to be human. One day even the wokest of the woke companies will wake up and realise that if they want to actually make money and survive, then they're going to have to go back to appealing to the masses, not the broke weirdos on twitter who don't buy their products in the first placeI agree that is most likely where these companies are coming from, but the pressure most certainly is coming from puritans, who want all porn and all extra-marital sex removed from society.
No-one who is actually woke is attacking sex or porn. These companies are caving to the least woke people in society, the theocrats.Yeah good luck with that. The fact is that sex sells. Always has. You are right though, they will fail. Unfortunately, they'll hurt innocent people, in the process, including many sex workers.Yeah good luck with that.
Oh well, I guess the grand plan to disembowel your own business didn't seem like such a good idea after all. Kudos for common sense for a changeBreaking News!!!!
OnlyFans has reversed its decision and will once again host explicit material.
OnlyFans reverses planned porn ban after backlash from its adult-content creators
OnlyFans announced Wednesday that it was dropping its plan to ban sexually explicit content on its platform. The reversal comes a week after the content subscription service announced proposed changes to “evolve” its content, which included a ban on pornography.news.yahoo.com
I couldn’t agree moreI guess all these big corporations are happy enough to act like complete bellends but they really don't like being called out on it.
