A random little manip for your pleasure, it could fit into the Rebellion 2014 or Wragg in Cruxland threads
My dad, who really was from northwest Arkansas (and would beat my ass if he read what I post) and never graduated from high school became a navigator on a B-29 in WW II. He never talked much about the war, saying it was what he had to do. The only people he saw die in it were fellow airmen not quite getting the landing right.4 May it is Memorial Day in our country we remembered all those braves who fought for our freedom, and those thousands from the USA, GB, Eire and Canada.
the wish isthanks all... Tree never had to serve... good draft number... and as you can guess didn't sign up.
Will never forget when my late brother got a letter (erroneous) that he was moved to the highest draft level at the height of the Viet Nam war. The state of Mo. was late sending in his scores so the draft board assumed he dropped out.
I was 11 years old and didn't understand what a 'draft' was but sure knew mom was crying...
I am not stupid enough to know that there will never be war. In the US today is 'Mother's Day'; may around the world may the moms get to hug their sons and daughters...
