This story pre-dated my arrival at CF. I just got done with it today, reading the e-book. It's fantastic, Wragg. A real tour de force.

So many fine crux scenes and a marvellous plot. Dark Princess, Merlin, an evil king, beautiful heroines, Erin. It's got everything!

WELL, IT WAS A LITTLE SHORT ON ACTUAL DEATHS BY CRUCIFIXION. MOST OF THE MAIN PROTAGONISTS GOT RESCUED.

Don't mind him. He just doesn't like it when he has nothing to do.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN "HIM". I'M YOU.

Well, yes, and then again, no. I'm sympathetic. I feel for the crucified girl. I don't go about killing them.

Yes, I admit I've crucified a few girls in my stories. I can see this is getting complicated. Okay, we both like a poignant death scene, but the occasional rescue is great fun as well. Anyway, he wrote this before Death came to the forums.

I like to put on my pith helmet occasionally, grab my old blunderbus, ane head off into the old threads. There's some good stuff. The Silver River tales were recommended though, and I needed something to read, so here we are.

I was not disappointed.
