no the most luckey one, but the organistion by France was great........................no problems with the terrorists but a great feast with the (North)Irish, Welsh and the Iceland-players. The football was bad but the feast great

Oh, I agree that Portugal was legitimately in the tournament. I also acknowledge that if the Germans had gone through on ties and ended up winning, I would be quite happy with the win. So, yes, Portugal is the undisputed winner. That said, I think both France and Germany were better teams overall, and in that regard, I suggest that Portugal might feel fortunate to have won.

Anyway, as has been said many times, "Football; it's a funny old game."
