I want to repost one of the girls from the Museum Exhibit.

I believe these photos were shot when Gorbachev was still in power. The young woman with the wild afro is Russian, born and raised.

There has been a tiny minority of Afro-Russians for centuries. Google "the negro of peter the great" and you'll get an idea.

This young woman was a product of a later era. I asked Makar if she was the daughter of one of the thousands of young Africans who went to study in the USSR in the 50s and 60s.

She was. But he did not keep track of her. I wonder where she is now?

I once tried to convince an artist to not portray a crucified woman in the manner that most of us grew up with.

Well, he did. No matter.

That doesn't bother me, but I do like to see 'behind the scenes' pictures/ videos showing what goes on in producing the crux-pics,
it's interesting and, in a curious way, arousing, empathising with the naked exposed girl in front of the fully-dressed, anonymised man and his camera.
