This is a private prison where girls are hanged under contract with the authorities. Therefore, upon completion of the work, a writ of execution is drawn up for each girl.
All is according to the law. All rights are respected. Every execution must be approved by the Chief Justice in addition to Judge Kangham.

This girl is my favorite of all his works. Pain and suffering are perfectly depicted. Fucking censorship. Without it, a lot could have been done. And so either in clothes or just show your face. Fucking whores. They take money and grimace. Hypocrites.

What an enlightened society. Short-drop hanging is a much quicker and far more humane means of execution than a lengthy, bloody, agonizing crucifixion. Critics will still complain that the guilty are getting off easy for their crimes, but public crucifixions were becoming such unseemly spectacles.
Cella is right. A short-drop hanging is much quicker than a crucifixion. But when she is standing naked, cuffed, and with a noose around her neck, she will learn that the Women's Prison of Northwest Arkansas has an elaborate and lengthy protocol that has to happen before they open the trap and hang her by her neck. She does not know the warden and Sister Angel took bets on if Cella would piss before or after she was hanged...
Barbara Bach learned (the hard way) how brutal and cruel her short-drop hanging would be.
She also found it was most effective for the few minutes she thrashed as she hanged by her neck...

Protocol notwithstanding, at least I'm being executed on the prison grounds and not in public. That would be horrible, so humiliating, especially if I lost control of my bladder! Thank goodness for the thorough colon cleansing women receive before the sentence is carried out.

Well . . . I guess we women appreciate that thoughtful consideration. We would hate for our hangings to be indecorous spectacles appealing to the most base perversions in society. Even when condemned we have our dignity!
Um... the prison sold tickets to your hanging. The crowd anxiously waits to see you hanged... and whether you piss before or after your neck is stretched...

Well, for good money, the prison management allows spectators who want to watch the execution. Not always, but often. That's why the Supreme Court wrote in the prisoner's card that the hanging must be done in the open air

Unfortunately, videos of hangings intended for judicial use are often sold online. The prison warden is certainly not to blame for this.
The warden watches as Cella's kicking slows. With a disappointed voice she says "I don't think she's going to pee. The crowd will be most disappointed!"
Joan Tree assures her "It was a short drop. It doesn't jerk the hell out of her. Wait a few moments and her bladder will let go!"
