I love the look on her face!
Not the first time the Belgian artist, friend of Baudelaire, Félicien Rops
has featured on this thread and others, but I was prompted by an article I saw
to put together a little collection, some I think new to the Forums

'Jacoba's Ladder' was the title of one of Samantha's crux series - a feminine interpretation of Jacob's ladder.I believe her first name was Jacoba.
Her wrists are not even tied tight!!! She wanted this!!!!'Jacoba's Ladder' was the title of one of Samantha's crux series - a feminine interpretation of Jacob's ladder.

Some of the other modern commentators have noticed that the 'herms' could have been a form of gibbet for crucifixion/impalement. The ancient Greek images (on pottery?) would show something like a wooden or stone crossbar, going through the herm at the shoulder level. The commentators noted that the crossbars might have been for more than draping garlands of flowers. Arms over the crossbars (for crucifixion); impalement on the stone (or wood?) phallus. One of the commentators started to research what the Greeks used the for. Had some quotes describing them used (sometimes) for punishments.I liked #4 too, for it reminded me of a naked Christian girl in "The Sign of the Cross,"

bound to a herm, and you can be damn sure that Cecil B. DeMille knew damn well what those things looked like.

She was in great shape when she did this. It apparently didn't need to be airbrushed, either. She's just wonderful, and has an attitude to boot.'Jacoba's Ladder' was the title of one of Samantha's crux series - a feminine interpretation of Jacob's ladder.
happy moneyday (with nice event in city and without racing drive in city)

also nails was often finds when diggingYou’re probably right. Jedakk, who has regrettably withdrawn from crux, is an engineer, and the design in the photo you posted simply makes sense when you take into account the awful physics of crucifixion,
