Terrified, about to be crucified!

CF should have a Japanese translator system, to understand the captions on these pics!:icon_tfno:
It's hard because the text is just part of the image, you can't cut and paste it into a translator. Even so, it is possible, with some work. Here's how it can work, just for the speech bubble in the first image.

(1) Identify the kana, which you can easily look up online, e.g. at https://www.realkana.com
おかしい okashii
[X]りもちょっと [X]rimochotto
[Y]ずかしい [Y]zukashii

The [X] and [Y] are kanji, so on to the next step...

(2) Identify the kanji
You can use tools like this handwritten kanji translator https://kanji.sljfaq.org/
I find the "multiradical by type" function the most helpful.
[X] = 縛 https://jisho.org/search/縛
[Y] = 恥 https://jisho.org/search/恥

You can now paste the whole text into a translator like DeepL.
jisho.org can also help with individual words

(3) Put it all together:
おかしいokashiithat's funny
縛りもちょっと[shibu]rimochottoI'm a bit tied up
恥ずかしい[ha]zukashii how embarrassing

Everybody hates Google Lens but for translating text in images it's worth a try.

That the sign in the background could say something like 'capital offense' kinda makes sense
Speech bubble in the first panel - translation is broadly consistent with Hangnail's above
second speech bubble alo makes sense, she pleads her innocence "wait a minute Please!! I have never killed anyone! I am innocent!"

Third one is a bit off obviously...
but since Lens converts it to text you can paste it into Deepl right away
"なぜ私が こんな目に => Why did I have to go through this?" makes more sense.

Must have been a strain on the translator mechanism; on the first two tries, it fell down!
