What's irritating this young woman more: 1) the sharp stick pressing into her back as she hangs, or 2) the crude comments from the crowd about her lovely body, especially her perky boobs and exposed lady bits.
She's not nailed so maybe this is just a punishment crux. A few more hours and she'll be released to her father/guardian/husband, i.e., whoever is responsible for her. If no responsible person comes to claim her by her release time she'll just have to remain on the cross until someone does.
Hope she wasn't too much of a problem in her life.

You can get them at places like Hobby-Lobby or Michael's, relatively cheap. You then add your own decorations to make them festive.
My mom has made several of these. Attach some ornaments and pine cones and she'll be a perfect holiday display.

No. She just hangs them up and sometimes sells them.
If we were Scandinavian, she could make St Lucia crowns out of them.
